Moscow red square

Moscow is the largest and certainly one the most beautiful city in Russia. The city’s modern business tempo perfectly combines with the church bell ringing and silence of historic courtyards. It is difficult to name all the things that the one should pay attention to while visiting Moscow. We recommend starting with a walk along Zamoskvorechye, where many cultural monuments of 18th - 19th centuries remained in a good shape. Unique cultural monument of the 17th century Chamber of Averky Kirillov is located on Bersenevskaya embankment of the Moskva River within 15-minute walk from the metro station "Polyanka". You will be able to have a spectacular view on Kremlin and Cathedral of Christ the Savior from the Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge (Big Stone Bridge) which is located to the right side of the Chamber of Averky Kirillov. If you have time, it is well worth taking a trip to Vorobyevy Gory (Sparrow Hills) where you can enjoy panoramic view of the city. There are lots of beautiful parks in Moscow, where you can take a pleasant walk and enjoy the beauty of Russian nature.

Despite the fact that the city is huge, with an area of over 10000 square kilometers and a population exceeding 10 million people, you can get around the city quite easily thanks to the excellent public rapid transportation system. During the weekdays we recommend traveling by metro, which is famous throughout the world for its rich decorations in the style of socialist realism. On weekends you can take a ride in the car with less chance of getting stuck in traffic jams.
Moscow’s climate is moderately continental: it can get really cold during the winter, but it is very warm during the summer. The average annual temperature is +6.0° C. The ideal time to visit the capital of Russia is middle of May when lilac and chestnuts are blooming. This time the sun goes down quite late and an evening walk, when the rush is gone, can become a pleasant time spending.

You can rest in the restaurant at our hotel; it is one of a few places that offer traditional dishes from the Far North of Russia. We recommend you to visit Bolshoy and Maliy theaters, “Sovremennik” and Chekhov Theater. If you are interested in fine arts, it is worth to visit Pushkin museum and Tretyakov Gallery, where you will find copies of the world known masterpieces and the best works of Russian artists. An excellent place to enjoy the classical music is Chaikovsky Concervatory, but if you are more of a jazz lover you should go to Moscow House of Music, where you can enjoy the concerts of modern jazz performers.
